*Division Game I created when teaching 5th grade in January 2012 and am now using with my 5th graders. My fifth graders prefer calling it "Division Destroyers." I based it on the Multiple Madness Card Game platform. To understand "Divisionaries," you should first watch the "Multiple Madness multiplication card game by erictheelephant" video. Divisionaries is an extension of the Multiple Madness Card Game. My students play it when there is free time throughout the day or during math time. For Diovisionaries, you will need: * About 1 or more decks of cards for every 2-4 players. The decks may be jumbled together or incomplete. *Rules: *1. Pick a dealer to make an array of about 5x5 with the cards. Use a larger array if children are advanced, smaller if struggling. *2. Each player takes turns calling a division equation based on the number of cards they see of the same value. (For example, if 3 of hearts, 3 of diamonds, and 3 of clubs were in the array on the table, you would say "9 / 3 = 3" to be pick up those three cards. *3. You may not call a divisor of one.
